Song Review: “Falling” by Instant Crush

With a performance resume including opening for The Wrecks on the Seattle and Portland dates of their 2021 West Coast tour, playing Seattle music showcase ‘Sound Off!’, and various other shows throughout the Pacific Northwest, it’s evident that Instant Crush is quickly becoming a force within the Seattle music scene. Led by lead singer Megan Cannon and featuring guitarists Zoee and Keegan Mangahas, bassist Paul Sawicki, and drummer Matthew Tran, Instant Crush’s music perfectly encompasses the fears and anxieties that come with growing up, and their latest single “falling” is no exception.

“falling” speaks to the thrills of a budding relationship and (as the name suggests) falling head over heels for someone (I don't care what we do, we can sit in the parking lot / yeah everything felt right, and do you feel the same ‘cause I’m falling falling falling for you, ooo-ooo-whoo!). The song combines an upbeat, driving drum track and a crisp guitar line with Cannon’s unique vocals and powerful lyrics to create the perfect song to dance around your bedroom to.

“falling” is out now on all streaming platforms!
