Song Review: “More” by Between Friends

In 2021, Between Friends released their first album, i like when you shine! However, they were no strangers to the industry. Siblings Brandon and Savannah Hudson have been making music their whole lives, as both self-titled in their America’s Got Talent days and as “The Heirs”. Joined by drummer Brennan Benko, they have released numerous EPs and projects, including their 2018 EP “we just need some time together” which has just over 150 million streams on Spotify. Their latest single, “more”, encompasses every single groove, beat, and suburban aesthetic that is to die for from their discography. Following the lines of romanticization and late nights in the city, their synth-based sounds complement the catchy lyrics perfectly about wanting more of someone.

As the track progresses, their vocals catch onto a regular tune and develop into a unique tone overall. It also touches on the faults that commonly appear in relationships, such as when is the right time for something. You can tell there is a story behind this and leaves you not just wanting more of the story, but more of Between Friends.
