Show Review: Arts Fishing Club in Madison, WI

If you haven’t heard of Arts Fishing Club yet, you’re missing out. They’re incredible musicians with bold, versatile discography but they are even better live as they turned their show into a full-fledged experience. Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee they are an indie rock band destined to capture your heart…and rock your world! With their debut album, Rothko Sky, set to be released in June, Arts Fishing Club is traveling the country sharing their music and their passion with everyone!

The night kicked off with an opening performance from Homes At Night, a duo also from Nashville, that literally shook the speakers. Between their energetic originals and a very entertaining cover of “Teenage Dream” by Katy Perry, Homes At Night set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Their song “Midwest Summer” seemed to loosen up the crowd; probably since they could relate there in that little bar in Madison, Wisconsin. Their latest track, “Texaco,” which is available on all streaming platforms now, rounded out an amazing set.

By the time Arts Fishing Club took the stage, the floor was packed and the anticipation was felt from wall to wall. Their stage presence was absolutely magnetic, sucking you in from the first note. The definition of toe-tapping, hip-shaking, pure rock and soul - Arts Fishing Club can make a fan out of a newbie with just one song.

Their sound has such a familiar vibe that we can only describe it as “feeling like home”; it makes you feel like they could be the soundtrack to whatever you’re feeling. Whether that be a chill night under the stars or the need to let your hair down (we most definitely did the latter), there’s a song for you! This alone makes them one of the coolest, must-see bands to put on your radar.

A stand-out track was undoubtedly “foster falls,” which immediately filled the room to the brim with energy. With smooth, powerful, and rich vocals (as well as some good old fashion crowd chants), Arts Fishing Club turned their show into a karaoke session by the end, a testament to their ability to make a gig feel like a family gathering. If you and your friends are looking to have a good time with even better music, look no further than an Arts Fishing Club show!
