On Saturday June 4th CHVRCHES came to the Fillmore in Charlotte on their "Screen Violence," tour promoting their album "Screen Violence." Hailing from Scotland, CHVRCHES are a Synth-pop band with EDM, Rock, and Indie pop influences. They are currently touring across the United States.

        CHVRCHES tends to have very theatrical performances that also carry a deeper meaning, featuring themes of sexual violence, mental health, female's rights, and more. Many of their songs touch people's emotions while also being entertaining. Singer Lauren Mayberry has an incredible stage presence, whether she is dancing around the stage, pumping the audience up or when she is pouring fake blood onto herself to portray a meaning that is sure to make the audience cry. Her theatrics and strong vocal performances certainly mesmerized the audience that night.

     CHVRCHES is a unique mix of talent and theatrics that makes their concerts have such an impact on others. CHVRCHES is a highly recommended concert to go to in my book. I can say this band has truly changed me in many ways.
